For WiserWeb this is true too, but only so far! We’ve got the geeky part – as we love what we do - but we also enjoy the client-agency relationship and relish face-to-face or zoom meetings to get things done.

FRONT END FUNCTIONALITY

Front end functionality is all about what a user can do on a site. We are contacted by many clients who know what they want to achieve but have no idea how to go about it.

We’ve built custom functions such as a personalised engraving system, specialised booking schemes, made-to-measure structures, and many more. Solving the customer’s issue via an online system is what a good front end function does. In turn, automating the process into the back end is ultimately what makes a business more efficient and profitable.

BESPOKE BACK END

Most website owners are used to having a back-end interface that they integrate with, the most usual of which is a content management system.

Put simply, it’s the nuts and bolts of managing a site’s functionality and provisioning after actions have been taken by the user on the front end. Once the functions of a website become more intricate, the back end usually needs a bespoke or highly customised solution. Our back-end developers are used to working in the cloud, solving problems, writing algorithms, and creating custom-made services and APIs that solve innumerable client issues and ease management practices.

From distinctive reporting systems to complex routes to customer delivery we’re fully stacked and have crunched the code on it all.

THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS

Third-party integrations offer endless business possibilities that usually afford a faster and more cost-effective development.

Most third-party integrations are APIs (Application Program Interfaces) or plugins and the chances are you’ve already used some – Google Maps or chatbots for example. There are literally 1000s of third-party integrations for every conceivable need and while they can prove more cost-effective and efficient than bespoke building a solution, they do not operate out-of-the-box and many need to be custom coded to ensure smooth operation.

We’ve implemented, tested and custom coded 100s of third-party integrations, so we like to think we’re pretty good at it.

RESPONSIVE TESTING

Responsive web design (RWD) generates dynamic changes to a website’s appearance depending on the screen size and orientation of the device being used to view it.

This is easily seen when you turn a mobile device from vertical to horizontal and the page reshuffles its content to fit the screen. Menus also alter – usually from a full menu to the three horizontal lines, known as a burger menu. Getting a design to work seamlessly across all devices is crucial to a successful website.

Not only do we fix websites that lack mobile responsiveness, but we also test out all of the functionality that can be affected and fix that too!
